On 8/8/08 last year, Trouble got his own little gold medal, this also happened to be the start of the Beijing Olympics. Trouble has since had a crush on and insists that he marries our local Shawn Johnson. Last weekend, we ran into her coach at the grocery store and sure enough Trouble was wearing his medal. So we took their pictures together, but I don't know how to load pictures from the I-phone onto here :). Trouble has worn this gold medal every single day since 8/8/08.
This picture is from a year ago shortly after he got his gold medal. Is he a warrior or what?

Here is the medal today, wow that gold really tarnishes.

I decided to take a few anniversary pics of Trouble and his medal.

Isn't it tradition to kiss the gold medal? I actually like doing this to buildings that are built after I've designed them. I should probably start taking pictures of peoples reactions when I'm kissing a building, ha!

Trouble showing off his guns!

How many more years do you think this medal will survive?

oh my word, how cute is your kid in these photo's!!!!!!!!!!!
The medal will survive forever because you got pictures of it! And what an adorable little guy! Love all the funny expressions... those silly faces might be good for next weeks theme!
Very cute, love the pushing cheeks one. The medal will probably have many repairs so it can last forever its like a teddy bear.
omg how I love that little boy. He is so precious and Nanie cannot wait (5 more days!!!) to wrap my arms around him and give him a big smooshy kiss.
showing the guns? Showing off the scars! That's what it would be at like my house.
He has grown a lot in a year! I imagine he'll wear that ribbon until it frays and has to be duct taped together. :)
I've commented a few times to Darcy but I'll make mention of it here--I think Trouble is just about the cutest thing around! That first picture is adorable and I love that he has worn that medal for so long!
That first pic is priceless!! Love it! haha!

Hee! My boys like to show off their "guns" too and it cracks me up every time. What a cutie!
